Telecom RAM

Telecom RAM est à la recherche d'un technicien en câblage structuré et MDU motivé et fiable pour se joindre à son équipe à Ottawa. Le poste est ouvert aux employés permanents ainsi qu'aux contracteurs.

Responsabilités

  • Installation de câblage structuré (Cat5e, Cat6, fibre optique – un atout)
  • Travaux dans des environnements MDU (immeubles multi-logements)
  • Tirage, terminaison, étiquetage et tests des câbles
  • Lecture de plans et schémas techniques
  • Respect des normes de sécurité et des standards de l'industrie
  • Dépannage et mise à niveau d'installations existantes
  • Travail sur chantier résidentiel et commercial

Exigences

  • Expérience en câblage structuré et/ou MDU
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome ou en équipe
  • Permis de conduire valide
  • Bon sens de l'organisation et souci du détail
  • Carte de sécurité (ASP, CSTS ou équivalent – un atout)
  • Outils de base (obligatoire pour contracteurs)

Atouts

  • Expérience avec fibre optique
  • Certification BICSI (un atout)
  • Bilinguisme français/anglais

Telecom RAM is currently looking for a reliable and motivated Structured Cabling / MDU Technician to join our team in Ottawa. This position is open to both full-time employees and independent contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Install structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic – an asset)
  • Work in MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) environments
  • Cable pulling, termination, labeling, and testing
  • Read and follow technical drawings and plans
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and upgrade existing installations
  • Work on residential and commercial job sites

Requirements

  • Experience in structured cabling and/or MDU projects
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Safety certification (CSTS, ASP, or equivalent – an asset)
  • Basic tools required (mandatory for contractors)

Assets

  • Fiber optic experience
  • BICSI certification
  • Bilingual (English/French)
