Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated program staff for our After School Program. This role involves working directly with students and staff, providing supervision and program support in our after school hours program. Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience with children, and a commitment to ensure the safety of all students in our care.

Duties

  • Careful supervision of indoor and outdoor play of students of varied ages
  • Conform to health, safety and licensing regulations.
  • Daily general cleanup of art and snack supplies, tables, floor and shelves used in the after care room and playground.
  • Encourage positive behavior and social development among children
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging program
  • Effectively liaise and communicate with parents
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as appropriate to position

Qualifications

  • Background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred
  • Experience with children, preferably in educational or childcare settings
  • Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, teachers, and parents
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
