Our small, indoor doggy daycare is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our small team
This is a hands-on role for someone who truly enjoys caring for dogs and making their days safe, fun, and enriching.
What We're Looking For (Must-Haves):
- A genuine love for dogs and animal care
- Previous experience working with dogs (professional, volunteer, or personal experience welcomed)
- Basic understanding about dog behaviour or body language
- Ability to be physically active throughout the day (standing, walking, lifting dogs, cleaning, and supervising play)
- Confidence handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels
- Dependable, patient, and attentive to detail
- Physically capable and quick on feet (able to lift 15 lbs at a min)
- Capable of handling stressful situations and at time loud enviroments
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and engaging dogs during indoor playtime
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and positive environment for all dogs
- Monitoring dog behaviour and responding appropriately
- Cleaning and sanitizing play areas, kennels, and equipment
- Providing basic care such as feeding, watering, and comfort
- Administering medications
- Performing walks
- Communicating clearly with team members about dog behavior and needs
Nice to Have (But Not Required):
- Pet first aid or CPR certification
- Experience in dog daycare, boarding, grooming, or veterinary settings
