Toronto, Ontario, Canada Northbridge Financial Corporation Full time $80,000 - $120,000

What it's like to be a Health, Well‑Being, and Disability Management Specialist at Northbridge Financial

The Health, Well‑being, and Disability Management Specialist plays a critical role in building and sustaining a strong culture of well‑being across Northbridge Financial. As a subject matter expert in employee health, well‑being and disability management, you will lead and execute key programs, policies, and initiatives that support employees' total well-being across physical, mental, financial, and social pillars.

You will engage and collaborate across all functions of the organization and with partners, stakeholders, leaders, and employees to drive effective accommodation and disability management processes. This role requires strong communication, relationship‑building, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing complex, sensitive, and confidential cases.

You will stay current on occupational health and safety, disability, workplace well‑being trends and best practices—ensuring that Northbridge continues to evolve and enhance its well‑being strategy and program offerings.

We want your talent

If you're great at:

  • Leading disability management and accommodation processes from end‑to‑end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, follow‑through, and excellent employee experience.

  • Acting as a subject matter expert on health, well‑being and disability management, supporting employees and people leaders, as well as leading organizational practices.

  • Executing well‑being strategies and leading key initiatives and projects to enhance employee wellness programs, including conducting periodic policy reviews and updates.

  • Collecting and analyzing internal data and external benchmarking to inform well‑being strategies, recommendations, and reporting.

  • Engaging employees and leaders by supporting the delivery of well‑being education, awareness activities, communications, and events.

  • Communicating clearly and building strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external service providers.

And you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in well‑being and disability management (experience within medium‑to‑large employers is valued).

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR Management, Organizational Development, Public Health, Health Sciences, or related fields are preferred.

  • Experience with Workday is an asset—but not required.

We really mean it when we say we put you first. Here are a few ways how:

  • Growth opportunities to develop your career by applying to permanent roles as they become available.

  • We help you prioritize your well-being from day one through, early leave days, wellness programs, rewards, and recognition programs.

  • NBFC cares about the community and supports the causes you believe in with donation matching and team volunteer days.

We're committed to pay transparency and fairness. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000. The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position. We're also open to candidates at different levels, so if this range doesn't quite match your expectations, don't let that hold you back — we'd still love to hear from you.

This is a real opportunity — we're actively hiring If the role sounds like a good fit, we encourage you to apply.

We also want to be transparent about our hiring process. While one of our systems includes AI capabilities, over 99% of our screening is done by real people. We believe in thoughtful, human-centered hiring decisions, and are committed to giving every application the attention it deserves.
