We're looking for an experienced
Service Technician
to join our team and support our customers with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of actuators and process valves.
Reporting to the Service Lead/Manager, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and service a wide range of valve and automation systems both in-house and on-site.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain valves and automation, specializing in electric operators
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, reassemble, and test valves and control packages
- Complete detailed service reports with photos and recommendations
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot valve assemblies and automation packages
- Work with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and as-built drawings
- Manage your own reporting (hours, expenses, inventory) and maintain required HSE certifications
- Support outage/turnaround planning and forecasting
About You
- Instrument Technology Journeyman (or equivalent) + at least 7 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with industrial valves, actuators, and gears
- Ability to read work orders, schematics, P&IDs, and CAD drawings
- Experience with SCADA, DCS, or HMI systems, an asset
- Advanced computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable lifting 70 lbs and working in shop/site environments
- Great communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Ability to travel throughout Western Canada
- Valid passport, clean driver's abstract, and ability to pass a criminal check
