The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $ $
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.
This position may also be eligible for S&C's annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 10% of annual base earnings.
The District Manager is responsible for the sale of company products and services to maximize sales volume in the assigned district area. The District Manager also supports the Senior Manager of the sales region to effectively manage and forecast sales for the assigned district. They must also be able to specify, apply, market, and sell all of the company's products and services to customers (which includes utilities, distributors, contractors, mines, and consultants).
Key Responsibilities
- Sale of company products and services and meet sales targets.
- Support the Senior Manager of the sales district in managing and forecasting sales.
- Apply, market, and sell all of the company's products and services to customers.
- Select, develop, and maintain contacts of dealers and distributors.
- Execute and implement sales and development goals assigned by the senior manager.
- Lead tender submissions.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual district sales forecast and expense estimates.
- Maintain sales reports which include district activities and results to demonstrate that sale activities and outcomes align with business plans and objectives.
- Train, develop, and mentor assigned team members or distributors for the district.
- Prepare, deliver, and review verbal, written, and presentation communications to internal and external contacts.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is required.
What We Are Looking For
- B. Sc or B. Eng. Electrical Engineering.
- 3 – 10 yrs years' sales experience in the Electrical Industry, with a focus primarily on Commercial and Industrial markets, large industrial customers and/or consultants.
- Familiarity with Industrial, Commercial, Mining and Utility Electrical Distribution design and operations an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Proficient with IT applications including Oracle, and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills .
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Effort
Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.
Work Environment
Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
