Montreal, Quebec, Canada CapIntel Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Since launching in 2019, CapIntel has been on a mission to provide magical financial moments for all: investors, wealth professionals, and our customers.

Our innovative proposal generation platform transforms how financial professionals compare, discuss, and present investment options, empowering clients to make informed decisions. We pride ourselves on revolutionizing an outdated process with a product that's adopted 4x more than previous solutions. One executive called CapIntel "the most intuitive platform I've used in almost 20 years in financial services."

As one of Canada's fastest-growing wealthtech companies, CapIntel is expanding at an unprecedented pace. Our relentless commitment to innovation drives us to build a dynamic team, strengthening our ability to impact the wealth industry landscape in 2025 and beyond.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of CapIntel's data platform: enabling secure, scalable, and insight-rich experiences across our advisor and enterprise ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and strategy. You'll define how data flows through our systems, how we transform it into actionable insights, and how it powers core experiences like proposals, analytics, and recommendation assistance. You'll pair strong technical fluency with strategic product instincts to turn complex data pipelines into user-facing value that drives trust, transparency, and growth.

What You'll Do
  • Own the data platform vision and roadmap: Define how CapIntel ingests, structures, and surfaces data to enable analytics, personalization, and AI-driven recommendations.
  • Drive data quality and reliability: Collaborate with engineering to improve observability, lineage, and resilience; ensure data is accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Client Solutions teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions that power our platform.
  • Champion insights and decision-making: Build frameworks and tools that make it easy for internal teams and customers to derive meaning and measure outcomes.
  • Enable intelligent experiences: Collaborate with AI/ML and product teams to feed recommendation, tax, and scenario models with clean, trustworthy data.
  • Balance strategy and execution: Define priorities, manage delivery timelines, and make informed trade-offs across competing technical and business goals.
  • Mentor and influence: Elevate data literacy across the product organization—, helping others think in terms of structure, precision, and measurable impact.
What We're Looking For
  • Product leadership at scale: Proven experience owning a complex data or platform product area end-to-end within a B2B SaaS or fintech company.
  • Technical fluency: Ability to engage deeply with engineering and data troubleshooting in database, architecture, APIs, data models, and ETL design;—comfortable navigating tradeoffs in scalability, latency, and cost.
  • Data stack expertise: Working knowledge and experience of querying SQL/NoSQL systems; experience with modern data ecosystems (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Databricks) and analytics tools (Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
  • Customer-obsessed, insights-driven: Skilled at translating user and enterprise needs into data requirements and success metrics that drive adoption and trust.
  • Strong collaborator and communicator: Able to influence without authority, bring clarity to ambiguity, and align stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Metrics-minded operator: Experienced in defining KPIs for data integrity, latency, and product outcomes; uses data to guide prioritization and iteration.
Bonus Experience
  • Experience in wealthtech or fintech, particularly involving financial data integrations, performance analytics, or compliance reporting.
  • Experience scaling AI/ML recommendation systems powered by proprietary data.
The Interview Process
  • Round 1: 30-minute video interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Round 2: 45-minute video interview with the Director, Product Management
  • Round 3: 45-minute video interview with a member of the Engineering team
  • Round 4: 45-minute video interview with the VP, Product
  • Round 5: Take home case study followed by a 60-minute presentation to a panel of cross-functional stakeholders
