The Maintenance Manager serves as a key resource for the General Manager, offering guidance and recommendations, and liaises with the appropriate support areas within the Canad organization as needed. This role holds full responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the Destination Centre, ensuring that all Canad standards for repairs, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping are consistently met or exceeded. The Maintenance Manager is expected to adhere to all operational standards and provide regular updates to both the General Manager of the facility and the Corporate Facilities Management team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing maintenance strategies for the department.
  • Ensures adherence to the Canad Inns standards of maintenance quality, repairs, and upkeep.
  • Inspects and ensures safety controls and facility equipment on an on-going basis.
  • Coordinates the inventory, purchasing and disbursement of all maintenance supplies.
  • Assures proper staffing and adequate supplies for responsible service areas including leadership and development of team
  • Takes appropriate action to maintain operations.
