Site Superintendent – Commercial Tenant Improvement

We're an owner-developer constructing a new licensed commercial space in Mission (approx. 7,500 sq. ft. over two levels). Architectural and engineering drawings are complete, permits in progress, and trades will be hired directly by ownership. We're looking for a hands-on Site Superintendent to coordinate day-to-day construction, manage trades, and help us deliver a high-quality build on time and within budget.

Role Summary

This is a full-time, project-based position (approx. 9 months) suited to an experienced superintendent comfortable leading a single tenant-improvement build under an owner-managed model. You'll act as the key on-site lead, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule control while keeping open communication with ownership and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate daily site operations, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Schedule and manage sub-trades and deliveries to maintain workflow.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure code compliance.
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and consultants for timely approvals.
  • Maintain daily logs and report weekly progress to ownership.
  • Assist in trade coordination and problem-solving as issues arise.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial or institutional projects.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tenant improvements, daycare/school, or light-commercial builds is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
  • Comfortable working independently under an owner-managed setup.
  • Supers with established trade contacts in the Fraser Valley are preferred.

Compensation

CA $6,000 – CA $9,000 per month (Depending on experience)

Project-based full-time contract (approx. 9 months)
