Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Financial Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team based on-site in Calgary, AB.
We're looking for a financial wizard who lives and breathes Excel, thrives on turning data into insights, and understands the story behind the numbers. This role blends financial planning & analysis (FP&A) with a solid foundation in accounting, supporting leadership with clear, actionable financial insights that drive business performance. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, forecast results, and optimize financial outcomes—all while maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis, or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statement linkages.
  • Expert-level Excel skills—you're the go-to person for formulas, pivot tables and complex modeling.
  • Experience with financial ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills—you can explain financial results to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
