Role Overview

The primary function of the Financial Analyst is to develop and analyze financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making while preparing clear financial reports with key insights for leadership. This position supports month-end and year-end close processes, collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data, and conducts ad hoc analysis to guide investment and cost optimization decisions.

Role Objectives

The Financial Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-makingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with variance analysis and key insights for managementSupport the month-end and year-end close processes through analysis and reconciliationsCollaborate with accounting and operational teams to ensure accuracy of financial data and alignment of assumptionsAnalyze business performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend actionable improvementsConduct ad hoc financial analysis to support investment decisions, pricing strategies, and cost optimizationAssist in the preparation of presentations for executives, board meetings, and investor reportsMonitor key financial and operational KPIs to track business health and provide early warning signalsSupport the development of annual budgets and long-range financial plansEvaluate financial performance of projects, new initiatives, and business cases with ROI and payback analysisSupport the implementation and optimization of AI tools, automation workflows, and dashboard reporting to enhance financial insight and operational efficiency

Role Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA/CFA/MBA is an asset)3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or FP&AStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modeling)Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is an assetHealthcare industry experience is an assetExperience with financial automation tools, dashboard reporting, or AI-driven analysis is a strong assetSolid understanding of accounting principles and financial statementsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarize complex financial dataHigh attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityProven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently under tight deadlinesWe are looking for someone hungry, driven, and eager to grow—a high-output performer who is willing to work hard and thrive in a fast-paced environment
