We are seeking a talented Project Manager with a strong background in transportation engineering to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead and inspire multidisciplinary project teams while delivering a wide range of civil and transportation projects for public sector clients. Your leadership will help shape the future of mobility and contribute to the well-being of communities throughout Western Canada.
Role accountabilities:
In this role, you will manage multi-discipline transportation projects, including roadway renewals, active transportation initiatives, transit improvements, and streetscaping enhancements. You will oversee the preparation of functional, preliminary, and detailed engineering design drawings, contract documents, and engineering specifications for a variety of municipal and transportation engineering projects. Your responsibilities will also include tracking project schedules and budgets, managing monthly invoicing, and ensuring that all project milestones are met efficiently.
Additionally, in this role you will lead and mentor assigned project staff by scheduling tasks, prioritizing workloads, and supporting professional growth through coaching and development. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and consistent communication to ensure exceptional service delivery. Your involvement will extend to business development activities, proposal preparation, and participation in quality assurance and quality control processes. Throughout your work, you will foster a spirit of enthusiasm and maintain a strong client focus, contributing to the continued success and reputation of our team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's University Degree or College Diploma in Civil or Transportation Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta or Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
- 7 – 9+ years of project management, transportation engineering, and design experience
- Experience in the consulting services industry including roles with management and business development responsibilities is an asset.
- Proven project management record in multi-disciplinary environments
- Experience in the City of Edmonton, Calgary or Vancouver is an asset
- The ideal candidate will possess exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to understanding and meeting the needs of municipal clients.
- Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expected
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Google Workspace; and
- Ability to work with a multi-disciplined team, both as a team member and as a leader

The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $134,000. The base salary represents Arcadis' hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
