Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our private Christian school. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment, inspiring students, and supporting their academic and personal growth while helping them to grow in their faith. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through engaging instruction and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
  • Deliver instruction effectively to diverse student populations across various subjects
  • Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and respect
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum development
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student achievements
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and behavior
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of subject matter relevant to assigned teaching areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
  • Organizational skills for managing lesson plans, assessments, and student records
  • Adaptability to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Prior experience or certification in education is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for teaching is essential
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting

-International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme training is an asset

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.20-$30.00 per hour
