JOB PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Manager, BI & Analytics, the Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for helping drive the success of our Business Intelligence development projects across functional teams within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in BI Development Stack such as SQL, SSAS, SSIS & SSRS. Also, extensive experience with Power BI and Snowflake would be valuable to build reports and dashboard for business users as well as data ingestion using Azure Data Factory. The incumbent will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering end to end solutions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and implement BI solutions, including integration with databases and data warehousing.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable and actionable format.
  • Review and analyze the existing SSAS (tabular and/or multidimensional) cubes to understand current data models, calculations, and business logic.
  • Document cube structure, data sources, and dependencies to support accurate assessment of the existing SSAS environment.
  • Build and maintain data models to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of the data.
  • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources in data warehouse.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI solutions to enhance functionality and incorporate new data sources or analytics capabilities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for new and existing BI solutions and legacy systems mappings.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data used for analysis.
  • Implement data governance policies and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 7 years of proven experience in MSBI Suite (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in T-SQL Programming
  • Proven hands on experience with Power BI Development and Azure Data Factory
  • Data Vault & Azure Cloud related app knowledge required
  • Snowflake development is an asset
  • Relevant certifications or training in MSBI applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
