We are a growing mid-size company dedicated to excellence in our operations and the success of our employees. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Manager to join our team.
As a stand-alone HR position, this successful candidate must have extensive experience managing all aspects of Human Resources. From recruitment, to onboarding, performance management and providing HR guidance for a wide variety of employee concerns. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic organization that values precision, confidentiality, and efficiency in handling sensitive financial and human resources data.
This role is vital in managing payroll processes, maintaining accurate HR records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency with ADP payroll software and ERP accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR support to managers in all employee relations matters
- Support management to ensure consistent application of company policies
- Coordinate employee onboarding, training & development programs, and performance management initiatives
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and company policies through effective documentation and record keeping
- Assist employees with enrollment, changes, and general benefits questions
- Manage open enrollment and ensure accurate data transfer to benefit providers
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing using ADP WFN
- Maintain payroll records, timesheets, and attendance tracking such as vacation sick days and LOA
- Process Employee Expense Reports
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries related to payroll
- Oversee benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and terminations for health, dental, and retirement savings plan
- Ensure compliance with employer tax regulations as well as workplace safety insurance boards across all provinces
- Administer human resources functions such as onboarding, employee data management, and policy adherence
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll and HR information in accordance with company policies
- Draft and issue offer letters and new hire packages
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and HR policies
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws
- Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, and exit documentation
- Maintain organized and confidential employee files (electronic and physical)
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in, Business Administration, Accounting, Human resources or related field required
- 5 years of HR, payroll, or benefits administration experience required
- Working knowledge employment laws
- Proficiency with payroll platforms, ADP preferred
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality is essential
- Excellent communication skills
Location: Onsite position located in Markham, ON
Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000 a year
Start Date: TBD
This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our payroll operations while supporting our human resources initiatives.
