HYBRID ROLE : Bartending and Serving

We are seeking passionate, enthusiastic, and positive team-oriented individuals to join our restaurant team. We are willing to train the right candidates. If you enjoy interacting with others and being part of a team, we want to meet you This position involves working directly with the public to provide Food and Beverage services and assist guests in enjoying themselves while they are here. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant and enjoy interacting with a variety of people.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Greet customers, take and serve orders while providing optimal customer service
  • Solid knowledge of all menu items including food and beverage.
  • Efficient and accurate use of the POS system.
  • Opening and closing duties as outlined.
  • Have knowledge of a range of bar tools and techniques.
  • Prepare drinks according to customer preference.
  • Check identification of customers served to ensure that they are at least 19 years old.
  • Offer customers appetizers and other food items.
  • Maintain orderliness of the bar while keeping it stocked with ice, beer, mixers, and the like.
  • Restock bar tools and cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Take care of customer payment.
  • Keep customer information confidential.
  • Assess customer preferences and make recommendations
  • Present bar menu and prepare alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Inventory and supply control while replenishing goods as needed
  • Comply with food, beverages and health and safety protocol
  • Build positive rapport and ensure all customers have a 5-star experience

Must Haves:

  • At least 2+ years relevant experience working in a restaurant/bar
  • Proven knowledge and experience in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
  • Strong written, oral and computing skillset
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Organized to ensure bar and work station is kept neat and tidy at all times
  • Valid Smart Serve Certificate
