Basketball Assistant Coach

We are looking for a reliable and energetic
Basketball Assistant Coach
to support our training sessions. The assistant coach will work closely with the head coach to help run drills, supervise athletes, and create a safe, fun, and organized learning environment.

Schedule

  • Weekdays:
    6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (2 hours per session)
  • Saturday:
    2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 hours)
  • Consistent weekly commitment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up and running basketball drills and games
  • Work with small groups of players during skill stations
  • Provide positive feedback and encouragement to athletes
  • Help manage class organization, transitions, and equipment
  • Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants
  • Support the head coach during practices and activities

Qualifications

  • Basketball playing or coaching experience preferred
  • Experience working with children or youth (ages 5–18 is an asset)
  • Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a coaching team
  • Background police check is required
