Teaching Instructor or Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Mathematics. Subject to availability of funding the Department of Mathematics at Rutgers University-New Brunswick expects to have one or more renewable non-tenure-track teaching positions at the level of Teaching Instructor with the possibility of appointment at a higher level (Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor) for exceptionally well-qualified candidates. The expected start date will be September 2020, though there is a small possibility of positions being available for January 2020. This position has a teaching load of 4-4 (four undergraduate courses in each of the fall and spring semesters), with possible teaching reductions for administrative, advising or other departmental duties. Applicants should normally have received a Ph.D. and show outstanding evidence of teaching at the undergraduate level. Applicants should complete the online application and submit their CV at the Rutgers site. In addition, applicants should register at for the Rutgers-New Brunswick position (code TF19) and submit the following materials at (a) AMS cover sheet, (b) CV, one or more letters of recommendation addressing your teaching qualifications, (d) a teaching statement, (e) (Optional) teaching portfolio, including results of student surveys of classes you taught. Review of applications will begin on November 20, 2019 and continue until all positions are filled. Applications completed after that date are welcome, but may not receive full consideration.
