Overview

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented Cashier / Retail Associate to join our team at Clearview Country Market. Formerly Clearview Garden Shop, we recently rebranded and expanded to include a Pet Department and a Produce Department, operating year-round.

This role combines cashiering, customer service, and support across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be organized, adaptable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment. Experience with plants, produce, or pets is a plus. Bilingual abilities are a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate POS systems accurately, handle cash, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with purchases, inquiries, and product selections across garden, produce, and pet departments.
  • Maintain fresh, attractive, and properly labeled produce displays.
  • Receive, organize, and stock orders; assist with inventory management.
  • Support data entry and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Keep the store and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Lift and carry items up to 30 lbs safely.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Approach problems proactively with a solution-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with friendly, professional demeanor.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Experience in retail, cashiering, or produce/plant/pet departments is an asset.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • POS experience is advantageous but training will be provided.
  • Energetic, adaptable, and eager to learn.
