Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing freight shipments, and ensuring efficient communication across the supply chain. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Dispatcher plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations within our supply chain network, including third-party logistics (3PL) providers and internal departments.

Duties

  • Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Utilize data entry skills to update shipment statuses, delivery schedules, and inventory records accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
  • Analyze shipping data to identify potential delays or issues and implement solutions proactively.
  • Oversee freight operations within the supply chain, including third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, deliveries, and related documentation for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Assist with problem resolution related to transportation delays or discrepancies through clear communication and analysis skills.
  • Support shipping & receiving activities by coordinating schedules and verifying shipment details.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with transportation management systems.
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations, freight management, and shipping & receiving processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven analysis skills to assess operational issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in multi-line phone systems.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism with phone etiquette.
  • Experience working within a 3PL environment or managing freight logistics is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
