The Neuropsychologist will be a consultative role within the Regional Rehabilitation Program at the Hamilton General Site. The Neuropsychologist will participate in complex behavioral assessment of acute and rehab stroke patient populations and provide diagnostic neuropsychological information and recommendations to the treatment teams. There will be a treatment component and close collaboration with an integrated outpatient team. Consultations regarding development and evaluation of evidence based programs for this population will be a focus, as well as participation in clinically relevant research.

1. Completed Ph.D. level education
2. Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario for specialty in neuropsychology
3. Eligible for faculty appointment in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University
4. Training and experience in the development and evaluation of treatment strategies and in cognitive-behaviour and behaviour treatment strategies
5. Training and experience in the assessment and treatment of neurological populations
6. Knowledge and experience in research design and analysis, and program evaluation
7. Experience in the preparation of research grant proposals including the preparation of scholarship applications
8. Knowledge and experience in the administration and interpretation of process and battery approach to neurological testing and formulation
9. Knowledge and understanding of diagnostic and rehabilitation issues with neurological populations
10. Demonstrated ability to supervise students and support staff
11. Excellent communication, teaching and writing skills
12. Ability to supervise staff, including psychometrists
