Please note: This is a frontline essential position that requires you to be fully onsite at the Quetico Provincial Park office in Quetico, ON. Travel may be required on an as-needed basis to support park operations and management activities.

What you bring to the teamMandatory requirements
- Valid Class G driver's licence or equivalent, as recognized by the Province of Ontario.
- Ability to be designated as a Park Warden and meet the ministry certification criteria and standards in the Use of Force.
- Limited Surface Water Subsystem Operator's Certificate or Ability to obtain.
- First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Team Leadership: You have experience supervising and developing large, diverse teams, fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Program Delivery: You can plan and implement protected area management programs that meet high standards.
- Human Resources Management: You've managed labour relations, workforce planning, and performance issues with fairness and consistency.
- Resource Management: You understand principles of resource stewardship, park operations, and long-range planning to protect ecological integrity.
- Marketing & Promotion: You can develop strategies that increase park usage while supporting sustainability goals.
- Remote Operations: You're familiar with the skills needed to work and travel in remote areas, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You build strong relationships with Indigenous communities, volunteers, partners, and interest groups.
- Negotiation & Facilitation: You can navigate complex discussions and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Political Acuity: You balance diverse user needs with environmental protection in a dynamic, high-profile setting.
- Indigenous Consultation: You understand consultation practices and approach them with respect and cultural awareness.
- Policy & Compliance: You interpret and apply legislation, policies, and directives across environmental protection, enforcement, health and safety, and financial administration.
- Budget Management: You have proven experience preparing and managing budgets to ensure fiscal accountability.
