Join the Agropur St-Laurent team as an Evening Shift Production Supervisor at the largest Agropur dairy production plant in Quebec. With its 300 dedicated employees, our plant ships over 300 million liters of milk every year.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Evening Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for managing plant operations and preventive maintenance activities. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This position is temporary for a period of 12 months.

  • Salary range  004: 71,200$ to 89,000$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.

What's involved in this role:

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Evening Shift Production Supervisor manages work teams, oversees manufacturing processes, and ensures smooth operations. More specifically, the responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring proper coordination of manufacturing processes and meeting production plans;

  • Leading and managing the team of plant operators and technicians;

  • Motivating, developing, and supporting the team to meet production targets and fostering a culture of operational improvement;

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental, and sanitation programs, and overseeing the implementation and updating of the quality control plan (training);

  • Ensuring proper application of the collective agreement;

  • Supervising the sanitary maintenance of equipment;

  • Participating in and supporting a culture of performance and operational efficiency;

  • Managing and continuously improving production standards;

  • Participating in various plant committees.

What you need to join our team:

  • College or university diploma in a related field or experience in personnel management;

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a unionized environment;

  • Strong computer skills (Office Suite, SAP, UKG);

  • Proficiency in Lean principles.
