Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy & Program Execution: Implement and enforce Steelcon's HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives throughout our fabrication facilities.
  • Risk & Compliance: Conduct thorough audits, risk assessments, and safety inspections to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Data & Trend Analysis: Gather, analyze, and report plant-specific HSE data to identify trends, drive improvements, and develop proactive action plans.
  • Hazard Identification: Assist in the development and implementation of Hazard Identification tools tailored to manufacturing (e.g., process hazard analyses, Job Hazard Analyses) to proactively manage risks.
  • Training & Development: Identify and coordinate plant-specific training needs—including process-specific safety training and operational HSE procedures—to ensure every team member is informed and prepared.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed safety records and generate insightful reports to monitor performance and drive strategic improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive HSE experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Education: Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Certifications: Working toward CRSP, CSO, or NCSO certification is preferred.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation, with hands-on experience in plant safety management.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage diverse teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for maintaining documentation and reporting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
