The Opportunity:
The Foundry Youth Peer Support (YPS) Worker is a vital member of the Foundry center team, providing peer-based emotional support, mentorship, and service navigation to youth and young adults. Drawing on their own lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, the YPS Worker helps youth enhance their wellness, access resources, and engage with Foundry and community services. They foster hope and recovery through one-on-one and group support, outreach, and advocacy, while promoting a safe, inclusive, and youth-friendly environment.
- Create and ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and youth-friendly atmosphere at the center.
- Build purposeful relationships with youth to support engagement in services.
- Provide mentorship, emotional support, and guidance based on lived experience.

What You Will Bring to The Role:
- Completion of Grade 12
- A combination of lived experience and relevant training or work experience supporting youth with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
- Completion of a recognized youth peer support training program, or willingness to complete one upon hiring.

Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $ to $ per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants' role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
