Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Narvar Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Narvar is growing We are seeking an entrepreneurial and hands-on Director of Product Management to own our presence in the Shopify ecosystem. This is a critical leadership role where you will define the future of our B2B2C post-purchase platform for some of Shopify's largest and most innovative merchants. You will be responsible for taking our established, native Shopify application to the next level, cementing our position as the market leader.

This is a high-impact player-coach role for a product leader who is passionate about the Shopify platform and thrives on building best-in-class experiences. You will lead a dedicated team, starting with one Senior Product Manager, and partner closely with rapidly growing user experience design and engineering teams to transform our product with intelligent, agentic, fraud-preventing, loyalty-driving and revenue-generating features. If you have a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and a track record of launching, measuring and evolving successful native apps, we want to hear from you. This role reports to our Head of Post Delivery Experiences.

Day-to-day

  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Shopify experiences, directly aligning with the company's ambitious growth and retention goals;
  • Actively lead product management for a dedicated cross-functional team, spending approximately 70% of your time on hands-on execution—writing specs, managing the backlog, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering and design to ship high-quality features;
  • Dedicate 30% of your time to strategic leadership—mentoring and managing your direct report, defining the multi-year GTM strategy in partnership with field teams, and actively managing internal and external expectations;
  • Lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative solutions focused on intelligent offerings that drive LTV, prevent fraud, and create seamless, agentic experiences for both merchants and their shoppers;
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert on the Shopify platform, including its competitive landscape, APIs, OMS, POS, shipping, payments, analytics and evolving capability landscape;
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to translate your product strategy into clear value propositions and effective enablement materials;
  • Engage directly with our largest merchants on Shopify to understand their needs, gather feedback, and champion their voice throughout the product development lifecycle.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of product management experience at B2B2C SaaS scale-ups with a broad, deep and hands-on experience in the Shopify ecosystem;
  • Demonstrable track record of leading the development and launch of successful, native Shopify e-commerce apps;
  • Expert-level understanding of core Shopify domains such as order management, catalog management, payment processing, returns and exchanges, and analytics;
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify's technical platform, including its APIs, webhooks, and tools like Shopify Flows;
  • Experience in or strong understanding of e-commerce logistics and post-purchase operations;
  • A player-coach mindset with an eagerness to roll up your sleeves and lead by example in a fast-paced, high-growth environment;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate a strategic vision to executives and then seamlessly translate it into detailed requirements for your solution design and development teams;
  • Prior experience managing, mentoring and upskilling other product managers;
