Willowbrae Childcare Academy – Langley is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and engaging French Teacher to introduce French language learning to children ages 3–5 years old.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and can make learning French fun and interactive through songs, stories, movement, and play-based activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce basic French vocabulary and simple phrases in a fun, age-appropriate way
  • Plan and deliver engaging French lessons for preschool-aged children
  • Use songs, stories, games, and hands-on activities to support learning
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with classroom educators and academy leadership
  • Maintain a safe and respectful classroom at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Fluent in French (spoken; written is an asset)
  • Experience working with children ages 3–5 (preferred)
  • Background in education, early childhood education, or language instruction is an asset
  • Candidates with a valid ECEA or ECE certification will be given priority and may be considered for additional hours, on-call, or part-time opportunities
  • Strong communication and classroom engagement skills
  • Valid criminal record check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Reliable, patient, and passionate about early childhood learning

Schedule

  • Approximately 3 hours per week
  • Days and times based on your availability of any weekday morning from 9-12pm
