Laboratory Technician

At TIGER, we're passionate about innovation, quality, and teamwork. Our coatings and materials technology play a vital role in shaping industries across North America. We are currently seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in Guelph, ON.
- Formulate using standard NA formulations.
- Perform color matching and testing.
- Operate and set up lab extruders.
- Clean and disassemble lab equipment during changeovers, following established procedures.
- Conduct extrusion, grinding, and spraying of test samples.
- Monitor lab runs for quality and machine operation, promptly notifying supervisors of abnormalities.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Ensure consideration for the safety and well-being of yourself and others at all times.
- Post-secondary degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
- Additional training in powder coating formulations is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment (procedures and equipment).
- Experience with physical and corrosion testing related to powder coating.
- Familiarity with quality systems (LEAN, ISO, 7S) considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices, including material handling and associated hazards.
