Position Overview
As the Senior Vice President of Product Development and Innovation, you will be a strategic leader driving the full product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization, with a focus on raw material innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence. This role ensures Canada Goose remains at the forefront of product craftsmanship and performance while achieving business goals.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end product development process, partnering with Creative, Merchandising, Design, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to deliver innovative, high-quality products.
  • Partner closely with Creative Director Haider Ackermann and the Design team to translate creative vision into technically innovative, luxury-quality products.
  • Build strong alignment with the Merchandising team on product strategy, assortment planning, and innovation within both core and emerging categories.
  • Oversee the seasonal product creation process and calendar to ensure key milestones are achieved and cross-functional communication remains clear and consistent.
  • Drive innovation in materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes, ensuring differentiation and superior quality.
  • Oversee raw material development to meet brand standards for quality, durability, performance, and sustainability.
  • Build and maintain strong global supplier and mill partnerships to ensure agility, craftsmanship, and continuous innovation.
  • Integrate sustainability, cost efficiency, and performance optimization into product and material strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, performance, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the development process.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting to measure development performance, speed-to-market, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally, including with Marketing, to develop go-to-market strategies that highlight product innovation and craftsmanship.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, technology advancements, and consumer insights to inform product evolution and innovation.

You are an inspirational and strategic product leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and execution. You bring deep expertise in apparel product development, a passion for material innovation, and a strong ability to lead diverse teams toward shared goals.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in product development, with at least 10 years in senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and collaborating effectively with creative, merchandising, and operational partners.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and the ability to translate vision into actionable, results-driven plans.
  • Deep understanding of global manufacturing, sourcing, and quality assurance, ensuring operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to foster supplier relationship excellence—building partnerships that drive quality, innovation, and agility.
  • Skilled at integrating sustainability and compliance considerations into material and product strategies.
  • Creative and forward-thinking, continuously seeking innovative approaches to product and process improvement.
