Job Description

Prefera Finance is in search of a driven, motivated, enthusiastic person with a positive can-do attitude to join our fast-growing team in the consumer finance industry as a full-time Insolvency Specialist As an Insolvency Specialist, you will analyze and manage our clients' accounts experiencing credit insolvency that may be in default of their contractual obligations. You will work with clients and/or Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LIT) towards understanding the customer's intent with their loan, discuss payment plan commitments and/or arrange asset recovery, while seeking positive resolution towards account defaults.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing superior customer service while addressing customer concerns and updating account information
  • Supporting all key functions and communications with LIT
  • Communicate with clients via inbound/outbound calls and emails regarding past due balances while seeking positive resolution
  • Ensure our liens have been perfected
  • Meet outlined targets and expectations
  • Leave accurate notes on all accounts worked via our internal platform
  • Submit and follow up with LITs on insolvency documents while confirming customer intent
  • Review and refer qualifying accounts for potential asset repossession and/or disallowance

  • Fluent in writing and speaking English & French (An asset not required)
  • Credit knowledge is an asset
  • Identify risk trends and patterns and escalate to management as required

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in a call-center work environment/equivalent
  • Previous work experience in providing excellent customer service
  • 1-3 years of Collection experience is required
  • General understanding of PPSA, RSLA registrations
  • Insolvency experience 1 year
  • Experience with asset repossessions
  • Diploma/Certificate in the related industry is an asset, but not required
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, previous work experience with Excel is an asset
  • Post-secondary education or related equivalent experience. Insolvency Administrator Certificate is an asset etc.
  • Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, staff, and clients.
  • A team player who can work independently and take ownership of their work volume

Shift Times:

  • 8-hour shift- anywhere in between Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM

Salary Expectations:

$47,500 - $52,500
