Norgen Biotek is a leading Canadian biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of innovative sample preparation kits and molecular diagnostic tools.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Distributor Support Specialist to join our team. This role is critical to expanding and strengthening Norgen Biotek's global distributor network. The ideal candidate will have strong international business acumen, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to negotiate, onboard, and support distributors worldwide.

Please note: a 4-year post-secondary education in Biology, Life Sciences or a related field is a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and onboard new distributors in strategic global markets, ensuring alignment with Norgen Biotek's goals.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to distributors, helping them increase sales and improve market penetration.
  • Lead negotiations for distributor agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and analyze global market trends, economic factors, and regional challenges.
  • Provide actionable insights to distributors to navigate economic shifts and seize market opportunities.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions, product presentations, and workshops for distributors.
  • Set clear KPIs for distributors and track their performance against established benchmarks.
  • Develop improvement plans for underperforming distributors and celebrate achievements with high-performing partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in international distributor management, business development, or sales within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong analysis, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of global markets, trade regulations, and cultural dynamics.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
