Integris' Wealth Management Team is growing and looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Investment Specialist to join the team at our Vanderhoof, B.C. branch
The ideal candidate will take on responsibilities and functions of the Investment Specialist role, displaying full competence and confidence for this role. Responsible for account maintenance of a large clientele base, manages accounts under $100K, meeting yearly net sale targets.
Salary range for an Investment Specialist falls under the M3 Salary Grid: $29.88 to $36.15 per hour.

Main accountabilities include:
Financial Planning:
- Provide comprehensive financial advice on investment products (e.g., stocks, bonds, mutual funds) to help clients make informed decisions that improve their financial well-being.
- Conduct in-depth client interviews to assess financial goals, needs, and risk tolerance, then develop and implement personalized financial plans.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships focused on achieving goals such as education savings, retirement, and estate planning.
- Regularly monitor, review, and update financial plans to ensure continued progress toward client objectives and financial security.
- Manage all client documentation, transactions, and follow-ups to ensure accurate implementation and compliance with financial procedures.
Service & Sales:
- Proactively engage clients to identify opportunities for additional products and services that enhance their financial portfolios and protect growing assets.
- Follow up on referrals, inquiries, and marketing campaigns to build and maintain strong financial planning relationships and expand business opportunities.
- Execute investment trades and complete routine client and account maintenance to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery.
- Provide quality referrals to internal partners for lending, commercial, or mortgage needs beyond investment services.
- Support client satisfaction by assisting with complaint resolution and achieving personal and team referral and sales goals.
Business Development:
- Proactively identify and prospect potential clients within and beyond Credit Union membership to expand the financial planning portfolio.
- Conduct targeted outreach and marketing efforts, including telemarketing and community engagement, to generate leads and strengthen client relationships.
- Collaborate with branch teams to identify opportunities and convert referrals into new business.
- Build and maintain a visible presence in the community and industry to promote Credit Union financial planning products and services.
- Stay informed on market trends and emerging products, recommending improvements and opportunities to enhance business growth.
Administration & Operations:
- Processes investment transactions by accurately and fully completing required documentation and forms.
- Ensures appropriate market transactions are executed.
- Maintains client information in a client database administered by the CU.
- Adheres to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identifies process changes aimed at enhancing position and/or department efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead Leadership & Teamwork:
- Collaborates within the branch team environment(s) to proactively build investment business to achieve established goals.
- Builds relationship with branch staff
- Assist in increasing knowledge of financial planning administration.
- Includes joint marketing initiatives and inter-department referrals.
- Demonstrates support for corporate initiatives.
Technical Knowledge:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Client Relationship Management Software (CRM).
- Office machines (i.e., photocopier, scanner, microfiche).
- Dataphile.
- Basic knowledge of financial planning software.
Personal & Professional Development:
- 3+ years' experience preferably with some exposure to the investments or security industry.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Security Course, Conducts and Practices Handbook examination.
- Completion of post-secondary Diploma or Degree in a business-related discipline is strongly preferred (Business Administration, Commerce, Fellow of the CUIC).
- Holds or is actively working towards CFP designation.
