As a Communications Specialist for our Solar Canada office, you will contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities
  • Creates communication plans for small to mid-size projects and related initiatives, and ensures they are measurable.
  • Create and manage written and visual content for internal and external platforms, ensuring alignment with IMC strategy, brand guidelines, and KPIs.
  • Develop and implement communication plans for projects and initiatives, monitor performance through dashboards, and align campaigns with marketing objectives.
  • Act as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, fostering alignment and support for key initiatives.
  • Manage external communications and media relationships, develop PR strategies, pitch stories, and support crisis response efforts.
  • Execute social media strategies, monitor engagement, identify trends, and position the organization as a thought leader through campaigns and speaking opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff and students, ensuring best practices and data-driven decision-making.
  • Plan and deliver high-profile events, manage budgets, and track ROI to inform future strategies.
  • Ensure consistent application of brand standards across all communications and lead initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Oversee the communications request process, manage intake and prioritization, and report on service metrics and client satisfaction. 
Qualifications
  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in a communications role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage integrated communication plans.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and measure effectiveness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools; familiarity with specialized software.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong organizational, research and decision-makings skills; able to manage confidential information.

The estimated salary range for this role is $75,000 - $97,500, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
