Transition Planner 

How does the role impact the organization?

This role provides transition oversight and planning support and acts as a liaison between the home office and new Financial Advisors and Agents joining Raymond James Ltd. 

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Assist the National Sales team in transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents in Canada to Raymond James;
  • Customize transition requirements to the needs of the Financial Advisors/Agents;
  • Maintain an ongoing dialogue with transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents to Raymond James;
  • Understand and educate transitioning Financial Advisors/Agents and their support staff on the policies and procedures relating to operations, compliance, marketing, technology, investment products and general business issues;
  • Provide remote or onsite branch support as needed;
  • Manage weekly transition calls/meetings with Financial Advisors/Agents and their teams;
  • Participate in internal projects; and
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What do we expect from you? 

To qualify for this opportunity you possess:

  • Fundamental knowledge of investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness and ability to learn new applications;
  • Excellent problem solving skills;
  • Excellent Customer service skills even under tight deadlines;
  • Be able to Collaborate, commit and willing to accept additional responsibilities;
  • Work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail;
  • Demonstrate email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills;
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment;
  • Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information; and
  • Communicate proficiently in French is an asset
  • Previous experience with Dataphile is an asset.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements   

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree; and
  • 3 or more years' experience in the Investment Brokerage or Financial Services Industry.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Investment Representative licensing; or
  • Completion of both Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice Handbook Course (CPH).

Travel

  • You are willing to travel within Canada up to 40%25 of the time.
