Position: Service Technician/Installer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a full time technician to install residential and commercial HVAC equipment. The successful applicant will work on a wide range of equipment throughout the Kenora region. The ideal candidate could have experience in the HVAC trades or any of these fields and looking to expand their knowledge and skills. (We are absolutely willing to train as well)

  • Gas Fitter
  • Refrigeration (313A or 313D)
  • Sheet metal worker
  • Plumber
  • All applicants must be safety orientated, be motivated to learn or work in multiple areas of work

Responsibilities:

  • Complete preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance duties
  • Install mechanical equipment as specified for the project
  • Install Geothermal/air source heat pump systems
  • Install sheet metal ducting and ventilation equipment
  • Communicate/co-ordinate with project foreman and homeowner
  • Ensure service vehicle is adequately stocked
  • Travel in company vehicles to job sites and represent Earth4u professionally
  • Assist with jobs along side other employees
  • Ensure work is code-compliant and documented appropriately
  • Maintain professional workplace at all times
  • Install, service, and repair HVAC, AC, or refrigeration equipment.
  • Keep accurate job records, timesheets, and parts/material requests.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and skill development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid and current driver's license
  • Possess a valid boaters license
  • Willing to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers by email/text as well as complete company forms and documents
  • Possess a willingness to learn new skills and procedures
  • Experience in trades or construction is an asset

Simply put, we install air conditioners, air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps and anything that goes along with them. We spend a nice amount of time on the lakes/rivers installing lake loop heat exchangers and working on island properties, in Kenora mostly, but also occasionally travel for 1-2 day overnight to Red Lake, Dryden, Sioux Lookout as well. Overtime, food and hotel are always provided. We strive to provide awesome service, stand by our work and enjoy taking on new challenges.

Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
