Journeyperson Inspection and Service Technician

Streamline Fire Protection is looking for a qualified and motivated Journeyman Inspection & Service Technician to join our growing team in Edmonton. You will inspect, test, maintain, and repair a variety of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and committed to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire sprinkler systems
- Conduct flow and hydrostatic testing in accordance with NFPA 25
- Identify and repair deficiencies (sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, etc.)
- Submit detailed inspection reports and deficiency notices
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients and other trades
- Maintain up-to-date certifications and complete company-provided training
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 4–5 weeks)
- Ability to work out of town when required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of field experience in fire sprinkler inspection and service
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract (insurance requirements apply):
- 3 years of continuous, claim-free insurance history
- No more than 2 minor convictions
- No major driving convictions
- CSTS certification
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Clear criminal record check
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Comfortable with digital reporting tools

Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
- CFAA certification or experience with fire alarm systems
- Cross-connection/backflow prevention testing certification
- Fire extinguisher inspection/service certification

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51.46-$56.48 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 50 per week
