Streamline Fire Protection is looking for a qualified and motivated Journeyman Inspection & Service Technician to join our growing team in Edmonton. You will inspect, test, maintain, and repair a variety of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and committed to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of fire sprinkler systems
  • Conduct flow and hydrostatic testing in accordance with NFPA 25
  • Identify and repair deficiencies (sprinkler heads, valves, gauges, etc.)
  • Submit detailed inspection reports and deficiency notices
  • Represent the company professionally while interacting with clients and other trades
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications and complete company-provided training
  • Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 4–5 weeks)
  • Ability to work out of town when required

Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Sprinkler Fitter certification (Red Seal preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of field experience in fire sprinkler inspection and service
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 25
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract (insurance requirements apply):
  • 3 years of continuous, claim-free insurance history
  • No more than 2 minor convictions
  • No major driving convictions
  • CSTS certification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Clear criminal record check
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Comfortable with digital reporting tools

  • CFAA certification or experience with fire alarm systems
  • Cross-connection/backflow prevention testing certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $51.46-$56.48 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 50 per week
