About Centre Camp
Centre Camp is the destination where children in the Greater Toronto community come together to explore, celebrate, and nurture their Jewish life and connection to Israel. Centre Camp is a place to foster independence and a true camp community while growing leaders of tomorrow within a classic summer camp environment.
Are you an organized, creative leader passionate about designing engaging, high-quality camp experiences? Do you thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and have experience coordinating programs and mentoring staff? We're looking for a Program Coordinator to join Centre Camp's leadership team and oversee all aspects of camp programming, ensuring every camper enjoys a fun, inclusive, and meaningful experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize daily camp programs and activities that are engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate
- Coordinate and facilitate special events, including theme days, guest visits, and field trips
- Develop and maintain the daily master schedule and overall camp calendar, ensuring balanced programming for all camper groups
- Supervise and mentor Specialist staff, providing ongoing guidance, support, and performance feedback throughout the summer
- Collaborate closely with the Activities and Operations Coordinator and camp leadership to ensure seamless program delivery
- Encourage staff creativity and foster opportunities for new programs and initiatives
- Manage program inventory and order supplies as needed to support smooth operation
- Develop and facilitate pre-camp training and provide ongoing coaching for Specialists and Counsellors
Ideal Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in program planning, or camp leadership.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a camp, educational, or childcare environment
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with computers and common software programs (e.g., Excel), with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate and support a diverse staff team.
- Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset
