Job Opportunity: Yard Supervisor at Points North Group of Companies

Points North Group of Companies is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Yard Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our freight forwarding warehouse and assist in managing a northern airport. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a proven track record in leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Position Details:

  • Location: Points North Landing, SK

  • Schedule: Full-time, rotating 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

  • Benefits: Competitive wages, comprehensive benefit and pension plan, air transportation provided from Saskatoon, Prince Albert, with room and board included.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and procedures within the department.

  • Manage shipping and receiving operations while delivering excellent customer service.

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and aircraft as required.

  • Handle fuel operations; experience with fuel trucks is a plus.

  • Operate forklifts and various heavy equipment; prior experience is an asset.

  • Oversee daily airport operations; airport experience is an asset.

  • Ensure all inspections are documented properly.

  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and train staff members.

  • Assist in organizing daily activities and operations.

  • Collect necessary data and submit daily reports.

  • Monitor inventory levels

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies:

  • Physically fit (capable of lifting approximately 70 lbs and moving drums by hand).

  • Forklift operating experience is essential.

  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.

  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.

  • Proficient computer skills with data entry capabilities.

  • Valid class 5 driver's license air endorsement, or better, is required.

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
