**Job Profile**

The Forklift Operator & Yard Coordinator’s goals are to move materials through Prairie Machine facilities, maintain a clean and organized yard, and enhance the utilization of yard space. This position performs all duties in compliance with Prairie Machine’s safety policy and procedures.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Operate a forklift to move material through facilities as required
- Operate skid steer to clear snow as required in winter and maintain yard in summer
- Assist all other departments as requested (unloading and loading trucks, sand spreading, etc.)
- Properly document work performed & sign applicable driver documentation as required
- Assist in the completion of inventory audits and material transaction. This will be done with the handheld devices and computer stations provided
- Stack skids or pallets in designated areas. Clean up and dispose of scrap and place in proper containers or designated areas
- Ensure all yards are properly maintained and well organized.
- Coordinating 3rd party waste bins and contractor pickup at Millar yard
- Other tasks as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12 or GED
- Exterior yard experience
- Must hold a valid forklift operator license from a recognized training provider
- Large capacity forklift and crane experience is an asset
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as in a team environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
