Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Power BI Developer to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions that deliver clear insights into product management, inventory, operations, sales, repairs & returns, and customer behaviour. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative insights and optimize data workflows using a variety of programming languages and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the overseas Business Analyst to design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Connect to various data sources (SQL databases, Excel, cloud systems, APIs) and build efficient ETL processes.
  • Optimize DAX calculations and Power Query (M) transformations to ensure performance and accuracy.
  • Implement row-level security, governance standards, and comprehensive documentation for BI assets.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all reporting outputs.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with IT and data teams to improve the BI environment and ensure scalability.
  • Maintain documentation of technical specifications and workflows for ongoing support and enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Power BI report development and data modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), data warehousing concepts, and SQL (intermediate to advanced).
  • Experience connecting Power BI to data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and APIs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in retail, e‑commerce, or inventory analytics.
  • Knowledge of Azure tools (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis (asset, not required).
  • Strong understanding of data governance and BI best practices.

Pay: $64,786.72-$119,155.61 per year
