Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Cook and Salad Station Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, excellent serving skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and presentation. The Grill Cook will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere by delivering exceptional food service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Prepare salad station items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of the grill station and surrounding work areas
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or servers
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during peak hours
- Restock supplies as needed to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred
- Restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is essential
- Experience with meal preparation and working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
- Familiarity with serving customers and maintaining cleanliness in a kitchen setting
