Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist/Secretary to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional administrative support and ensuring smooth operations at the front desk of our office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental or medical office environment, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, providing information and directing inquiries as necessary.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
  • Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming at all times.
  • Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, including processing necessary paperwork.
  • Assist with billing inquiries and insurance verification as needed.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a dental office or medical setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
  • Strong phone etiquette with excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus but not required.
