Job Summary

You will work as a key member of our Operations team, be self-motivated, organized individual, enjoy interacting with team members, working in a fast-paced environment, and finding new ways to add value to our customers operations and increase customer base. The successful candidate will be a result driven, motivated individual with attention to details experienced with managing customer relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Process requests for shipping (air and ocean) from start to finish
  • Schedule shipment pickups with local carriers
  • Track & schedule incoming freight loads
  • Receive and respond to prospective customer inquiries for freight
  • Maintain shipping and receiving documentation
  • Conduct daily work operations efficiently
  • Maintain effective communication and that our service standards are upheld
  • Ensure customer complaints are addressed and handled professionally, leaving the customer with a positive resolution
  • Assess customer's needs and provide effective solution
  • Identify and close cross-sell opportunities within existing clients
  • Manage and Grow customer relationships
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Work Experience and skills

  • Previous work experience in freight forwarding operations is an asset
  • Strong and effective communication with team and partners
  • Strong Microsoft office skills and Google workspace skills
  • CIFFA and IATA License is an asset
  • Must be a dynamic, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Must be able to pick up new concepts and learn new systems quickly
  • Working knowledge of safe lifting method
  • Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs
  • Organized & extremely detail oriented
  • Must possess a keen eye for details and exhibit ownership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00-$37,000.00 per year
