Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team and power our operations forward In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across industrial facilities. Your expertise will ensure that machinery runs smoothly, safety standards are upheld, and operational efficiency is maximized. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to refurbishments, in a fast-paced environment that values proactive problem-solving and technical excellence. Our main focus is on Mobile Heavy Duty Machinery, such as Automated Catwalks and Various Drilling Equipment. You will be working along side Millwrights, and Heavy Duty Mechanics to assemble and manufacture the equipment. You will be requested to periodically attend field service calls, when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, panels, and control systems in industrial settings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, blueprints, multi-meters, and other diagnostic tools to identify faults quickly and accurately.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate machinery and processes effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of low voltage and high voltage systems to ensure compliance with CEC (Canadian Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings for installation and repair projects.
- Perform renovations or upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction site experience to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with CEC standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using ohmmeters, multimeters, power tools, hand tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects within industrial environments.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry or maintenance person skills is a plus for versatile project support.
- Strong safety awareness with knowledge of CEC regulations related to electrical installations.
