About the Role

We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving / Material Handling Clerk to support warehouse and production operations. This hands-on role ensures materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately while following food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, store, and deliver materials to designated locations and production areas

  • Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer and production orders accurately and on time

  • Prepare and maintain shipping and inventory documentation (packing slips, Bill Of Lading, etc.)

  • Perform put-away, replenishment, and internal material movements

  • Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and assist with discrepancy resolution

  • Operate material handling equipment safely (forklifts, pallet jacks)

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards

  • Communicate with Production, Quality, Sales, and Logistics teams to support daily operations

  • Identify and report shipping errors, inventory issues, damages, or returns

  • Follow food safety, health & safety, and regulatory requirements

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by following standard work and Lean practices

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work safely

  • Forklift or pallet jack experience an asset

  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments an asset

  • Awareness of Lean or continuous improvement concepts is a plus

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing setting with standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks

  • PPE required as applicable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00 per hour
