Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

**_We are seeking the right individual to fulfill a position, _**_in our Langley office, as a Shipping/Receiving Supervisor._**

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Supervises the receiving, stocking, pulling, shipping and distribution of fresh produce
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
- Determines routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits
- Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
- May assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area
- May lock warehouse and set alarms
- May assist workers in shipping and receiving activities
- Trains and evaluates new employees, conducts performance appraisals, and recommends salary increases. Disciplines and maintains disciplinary notes
- Other projects and responsibilities as may arise

**Qualifications**:

- Health and safety training
- Safe storage and handling procedure or various fruits and vegetables
- Proper shipping procedures for transportation of produce
- Strong written, verbal and oral communication
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environment
- Careful attention to detail and accuracy
- Leadership qualities and effective teamwork skills
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
- Delegates responsibility effectively
- Must be able to adhere to the company vaccination policy
