Salmon Arm BC, Canada Nimble Robot Inc Full time

RCPrinter, a thriving Direct-to-Consumer hobby kit business by Nimble Robot Inc., servies RC enthusiasts worldwide who build and 3D print their own remote controlled vehicles. We're a small, profitable, growing company based in Salmon Arm, and we're looking for a highly capable, self-directed person to take ownership of day-to-day operations and help improve how the business runs. This is not a standard part-time position — it's an in-office role where you'll manage operations and contribute to growth initiatives.

Your Duties

  • Own customer communication and order support, providing accurate, high-level assistance
  • Manage order fulfillment, shipping accuracy, and kit assembly (bearings, hardware, etc.)
  • Track inventory, handle purchasing, and maintain internal documentation and workflows
  • Evaluate and implement new ideas from the owner or yourself to improve operations and grow the business
  • Participate in marketing, product development, or YouTube content initiatives during slower periods

How This Role Works

  • Part-time: ~20 hours/week to start
  • Core availability: weekday mornings, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • In-office presence required for shipping, inventory, and kit assembly
  • Manage your own time and priorities within these constraints
  • Additional hours available if you identify and execute valuable improvements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Comfortable with tech tools (Google Docs, spreadsheets, Shopify, Gmail, Google Workspace)
  • Detail-oriented and able to make judgment calls under ambiguity
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Interest in small businesses, operations, or entrepreneurship
  • Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to business growth; interest in technical or hobbyist fields is a plus
  • Reliable and adaptable, able to balance core operations with proactive contributions

If you are a self-starter with the skills and drive to make a significant impact, we want to hear from you.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Application question(s):

  • This role is in-office in Salmon Arm and requires independent decision-making. Briefly describe a time you were given a problem or idea and were expected to explore it and implement it on your own. What was the result?
  • This role uses Google Docs, spreadsheets, and online tools to manage operations. Give an example of a time you learned a new digital tool or system and used it to improve a process or project.
