Tasks
The
Procurement Specialist
is responsible for

  • Manage the procurement process for assigned commodities, ensuring timely purchase & delivery of materials & equipment to support production schedules
  • Analyze, interpret, & report cost & financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, & decision-making
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with suppliers for negotiations, issue resolution, & ongoing relationship management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, & Finance to ensure alignment between purchasing activities & operational needs
  • Support monthly & annual financial closings by validating purchasing data & contributing to spend analysis reports
  • Maintain organized procurement records & assist in the implementation of purchasing system enhancements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
The ideal
Procurement Specialist
should meet the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree desirable
  • Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French and German is an asset
  • Knowledge of Aviation MRO, Project Management, Business Development
  • Manage constant time pressure
  • Manage high stress levels
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Successful completion of all required pre-employment assessments or screenings
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Must hold a valid Canadian driver's license
  • CV/Resume and Cover Letter required
  • Company will not provide relocation assistance
