Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving food, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service across various settings including fine dining, catering, and banquet events. Prior experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred to ensure smooth operation and high-quality service.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating, garnishing, and portioning
  • Serve customers efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Set up and break down catering or banquet events, ensuring all areas are clean and organized
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain compliance with health regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service equipment
  • Assist with dietary accommodations as needed, ensuring special dietary needs are met accurately
  • Support team members during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders

Skills

  • Experience in fine dining, catering, banquet service, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
  • Experience in serving, food handling, and hospitality operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Barista experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is a plus
  • Dietary aide experience or knowledge of special dietary requirements is beneficial
  • A professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for providing outstanding guest experiences

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
