Job Purpose: This position is responsible for operating the hotel's switchboard system to relay incoming, outgoing and internal calls while providing a professional, prompt and friendly telephone and message service to guests and staff. This role projects an image of reliability and professionalism through courteous and efficient communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Answer all incoming calls and route them appropriately in a timely, professional and polite manner

· Process guest requests for wake-up calls, call screening and other telephone-related services

· Handle all paging and radio communications efficiently and courteously

· Assist with emergency calls, monitor telephone equipment, and may perform general administrative tasks

· Manage the hotel's internal guest request system

· Provide guests with information about room features, property amenities, airport transportation directions and local areas of interest

· Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements: A minimum of one year experience in hotel communications is preferred

Working knowledge of Property Management Systems (i.e. OPERA, ON-Q, FOSSE) is required

Excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation and the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls

Computer literacy is essential.

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
